1. Introduction

This concept was intended to be used as a test platform for a kindergarten looking to implement methods and digital tools to include the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for individual action on climate change and sustainability in their teaching.

2. Problem

The purpose of BeeTour is to give children the possibilty to learn about how to help preserve pollinators. Since children in kindergarten usually are not able to read yet, the design needed to be speaking visually. While there are games dedicated to strengthen conscious and environmentally sustainable habits amongst children, the kindergarten had the need for a digital platform integrating learning objectives, aimed at nonreaders.

3. Objective

While promoting interactive play, the application also engage children through illustrations and motion design. Since the users are children between 4 to 6 years, imagery, colours and shapes play a fundamental role in the visual language.

Children can listen, watch and interact while learning the crucial role of pollinators in our ecosystem. While playing and interacting with a bee, the main character, they will and what can be done to help the little creatures survive.
